When I was younger I would have never liked a guy with facial hair. Probably because when I started to like boys, they were too young to even grow facial hair. I never thought of kissing a boy with a beard or a mustache...in fact, I probably would have thought that was weird. So why is it that since I have come to Alaska, I noticed every guy has facial hair AND I think a lot of them are good looking.
Because I work at a tourist site for gold mining, all the guys are basically required to grow out their facial hair and dress up like they are from 1897. One of my roommates just shaved off his facial hair. He looked completely different. He looked good, because now I could see that he has dimples (don't worry, he has a girlfriend) but I kind of liked him with the facial hair too. So the last few days that I have been here in Alaska I have started to be more observant of the opposite sex. It has kind of been an experiment. My hypothesis was that almost all guys have facial hair and personally, I think I'm right. I should take pictures of the guys around town. In fact, I have been spending a lot of time with a guy, and he had a beard. He looked good with the beard, but he and I have spent some time together and the thought of kissing him has crossed my mind. So I started to wonder, what would it be like to kiss a guy with a beard? That might feel kinda weird. All prickly and stuff. Then one day he asked me what I thought of beards. So I said, "I don't know, but I don't think I would like kissing a guy with a beard." Guess what, the next day he shaved it off! Isn't that interesting? And now that he doesn't have it, I find that I'm urging him to grow some facial hair, because I have decided that I liked that about him a lot. Strange.
So I wonder, why do so many guys grow facial hair here in Alaska? Is it because they want to look like they are outdoors men? To show they live a more rugged life? Maybe to be more earthy and wild? Who knows. All I can say it this, since I have started my observations I have decided that my school girls' mindset has changed. I no longer just like those clean cut boys...a little rustic style is hot too.

Alaska must be fabulous and interesting too with beard or no beard. I hope you are enjoying your stay.
Maybe cause Alaska is like the "last frontier" of America? Aren't there alot of strange, renegade characters up there, that try to escape the 21st century life of the lower 48? Maybe the beards make them feel more rugged and outdoorsy.
Or maybe they're all just lazy like that. ha! :)
Tell us if you get a kiss off a bearded guy. In my experience, once it really grows out the stubbly part goes away, and the beard actually feels softer. No rough scratches on the girl's face. So, maybe you may even like it better! :)
the more hair the better (in the right places anyway. yeah, facial hair has grown on me more and more. it can even be "unkempt" looking as long as it's a maintained unkempt look. But goatees, well, i still have a hard time with those, sometimes (most times) they look sleezy to me. oh, and i don't think i would ever go for a moustache by itself. beards only please. actually, that guy stan (married, ex, poly) had a beard.
