Most people visit their family for the holidays, but I have spent the last ten years away from my family so Thanksgiving has turned into a holiday. In fact, my parents went on a two week cruise, which started today so I don't think they will be missing me much. Of course, I was looking for somewhere to go. It is the wanderlust within. I knew that tickets to Europe would be a little cheaper, since most people are traveling state-side. So I asked Brit boy if I could visit him. After he gave me the okay, I purchased a ticket to Manchester, England.
He has been so nice and even planned out a basic outline for my trip. I told him it didn't have to be that organized, but I don't mind it either. So when I get there we will spend the first day in Leeds (his hometown), then head north to Edinburgh, Scotland, return to Leeds, spent a day in York, travel up to Newcastle for a football game, and have one extra day to do as I please. It should be a lot of fun.
I was talking with Brit boy on the phone yesterday though and it is going to be cold. It will be windy and probably raining as well. I don't care though, because it is a vacation and I have never been to that part of England before. In fact, even though I lived in London for a semester we never traveled to Northern England or Scotland.
I promise to post pictures and stories of the upcoming trip. I leave on Tuesday and return the next Monday. I doubt I will get to on the internet much, so be patient, because I promise I have something good coming up soon!

Oh! I wanna go back to England SO bad... I was going to go in April again, but I need to be good and save up to buy a house. I'm trying to be one of those responsible adults... it stinks really! Can't wait to see your England pictures... maybe it will inspire me to go again (hopefully soon).
Waiting to hear about your trip to the UK, Tracy.
I'm home in India now. I haven't had the time to post at all but will see if I can do some writing.
I also have some serious writing planned and that's something that I've been planning for the last few years. :)
Dav-It was so much fun that I wish I would have been able to spend more time there.
CP-Thanks for always checking my blog and enjoy your trip at home.
