The End of Sydney

I haven't posted in over a week and I am sorry. I have been busy and don't spend much time on my computer at home anymore. Since I moved into my new house, the wireless reception is horrible in my room. So I just haven't been on the computer much, but I have been reminded that I need to post. So to start out with, I want to share some more pictures from Sydney. I didn't take a lot while I was there, probably because it was raining on most days. I didn't feel the need to either. I will try to include a simple caption with each picture. I should also mention that after five days in Sydney, Australia I headed back to Singapore for a few more days of personal relaxation.
Brit boy and I took a day trip to Bondi beach. It is a popular surf spot for the locals. Apparently it is also the beach where locals and tourists go to get out of the city. We took the metro and a short bus ride to the beach. I don't think it was any longer then an hours ride.
I was pleasantly surprised with how busy the beach was. There were people running along the Bondi to Coogee trail and families out walking on the sand. I noticed several surfers covered in black wetsuits. Nobody was in the water, but then again, it was winter.
I had to put my feet into the ocean. I didn't care how cold it was. I wanted to be able to say that I experienced a little coastal treat. In fact, it wasn't even that cold. I don't think I would want to strip down into a swimsuit, but it was bearable on my feet. I didn't stay in the water long though, because our real purpose was to walk the trail to Coogee. The man who sat next to me on the plane had suggested it. With a simple tourist map, we left the beach and started along the coastal path. It got dark on us and we even had to walk through a cemetery. I have never seen a cemetery on a cliff's edge, and I must admit it was a bit creepy. We were walking past old gravestones that had cracked and shifted with time. It looked as if ghosts had disturbed the ground. Brit boy was trying to scare me as well. I think that made the walk a little more fun.
I couldn't neglect showing one picture of the Sydney skylight. I took this picture from the Opera House. It was actually a really beautiful night.
On Saturday we walked to a small outdoor market. I was hoping to find a cute handmade purse, but the prices were a little steep. I just couldn't get myself to spend money anymore, because I was already a little over my budget! I did think it was a trendy part of town, just past King's Cross. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the market. Goodness, I got bad at taking notes when I started hanging out with Brit boy. I must admit, I was just have fun being with him!

Wow, what a delightful trip. And it's good to see that you weren't focused on your assignments of taking notes and lots of pictures, instead you were having fun with Brit Boy. :) That's really awesome.

I was just reading a foodie blog about Bondi beach (http://ilovemilkandcookies.blogspot.com/) , just half an hour ago, what a coincidence. I love the pictures, especially the one of you in the water. Interesting angle.
And who cares about those notes, the memories of your moments with Britboy are more important! :)

Good to hear from you again. Thought you'd forgotten about all of us here in internet land.
