I just finished my first book about New Zealand. It was called
On the down side, there were a few things I did not like about the book. He seems to be a wealthly man, so his experience will be different then mine. He wrote quite a bit about the homestay/farmstays that he stopped at. They all sound so nice that I checked out a few of the websites. Unfortunately they are a little too expensive for my budget at around $250 a night. There were times that I could tell he was a little too stuck on his way of doing things. If someone didn't make him happy it was their fault. I didn't really like that about his book. He also mentions the wine a lot and since I'm not a wine drinker, that did not appeal to me. Oh one more thing, he mentioned meeting a women and sleeping with her. Just imagining two older people having sex made me throw up in my mouth a little! I don't want to picture two older people together...sorry, I just don't!
Now I need to get to the library and find some books about Singapore.

Sounds like you really are doing your research. That's the best way to go. Made me chuckle thinking of you throwing up a little, reading about two older people together. I know that feeling. Good luck with finding a good book about Singapore:)
Tracy, you have a very nice way of putting thoughts together. I must say that I check up on your blog regularly, I can't honestly tell you I do it everyday, but regularly waiting for the next post.
I'm looking forward to reading about your Singapore adventures. Perhaps you should read King Rat by James Clavell. Brilliant writer of fiction. That'll give you an idea of the place you'll be landing in.
CP- Thank you for being so nice about my writing. This blog is all practice for me, because one day I want to write my own story about traveling. I only wish I wrote more often to please the readers, but life just gets in the way!
Thank you for the insight on King Rat. I have heard about it, but I could not find it at borders. I will see if I can find it at the library. And I can't wait to post about Singapore too...I'm ready to leave. Today is the last day of school! woohoo!!
TP- I'm glad I made you chuckle. It probably would not have been so bad, but I saw the author's picture on the cover so of course I was visualizing too much! That's just me though.
Tracy I have been to Singapore way back in 1999 but to attend a conference and saw very little apart from Mustafa and Sun Tech city.
Good luck with your Singapore book hunting.
